GloVo is a Global Volunteers Platform, that matches great volunteers to their favourite events according to their location, interests and abilities. GloVo carries out the volunteers’ recruitment, selection, training, allocation and coordination, thus contributing to the success of the events they participate in and creating a great volunteering experience for the volunteers. GloVo also aims at creating a great impact on the local community, by accomplishing self-organized volunteer service actions and supporting various CSR actions.

Becoming a GloVo volunteer is very simple and quick! The only thing you need to do is click on the “Register” tab on our website (or follow the link https://www.glovo.com.gr/register) and fill in all the required fields. When your application is approved, a welcome e-mail will be sent to you with your credentials and you will officially be a part of our team!
Please note that we must approve you first, before being able to log in. Excessive use of capital letters, wrong entry of your date of birth and wrong entry of your telephone number are the most common mistakes that may lead to the rejection of your registration, so please be extra careful when filling out the registration form.
Last but not least, make sure that you keep your profile’s information updated, so that we can choose the most suitable events for you.

After registering on our website, there are two ways to get informed about our upcoming events and actions. The first one is via e-mail, through our newsletter, in which you will find all the information you will need and a link that will direct you to the respective application form on our website. The second way is by visiting the section Events>New Events on our website (www.glovo.com.gr/new-events). Please note that for each event/action, there is a deadline for applications. No application can be accepted after the deadline.
If you are selected, we will inform you via e-mail and let you know about the details of the trainings, that will follow and the event/action.

Of course not! You can apply for events/actions whenever you find something that suits you. Just make sure not to miss our newsletters, because the most popular events are the hardest to get access into.

GloVo supports almost all kinds of events (Arts, entrepreneurship, technology, sports, environment, conferences, society, fashion, education, music, etc.) and also supports or organizes various volunteer service actions, often in cooperation with other organizations or individuals, such as tree planting, social cooking, etc

GloVo is growing bigger and bigger every day, which means that we are going to expand in other cities and countries soon. If you live outside Athens, then you have the privilege to be one of the first GloVo ambassadors in your city. So, spread the word about GloVo and if you hear about any interesting events taking place in your city, let us know.

The criteria which we use when selecting the volunteers that are going to take part in an event are the following (in random order):

Time of the application (1st come, 1st served)
– Volunteer’s Interests
– Event needs
– Balance between experienced and “first-time” volunteers
– Location
– Skills and knowledge
– Responsibility, attitude and behavior in previous events
– Answers in the application form of the event

Please make sure that you keep your GloVo profile’s information updated, so that we can choose the most suitable events for you.

Shortly after applying for the event of your choice, you will receive an e-mail from the GloVo Team, stating whether or not you are selected for the volunteer team of the event. Don’t get disappointed, if you are not selected, because there are always many exciting events approaching and it is only a matter of time before you are selected for one of them. Even though we can’t think of a reason for doing this, you can send us an e-mail at hi@glovo.com.gr, asking us to delete your account and we will take care of it. Feedback is always welcome!
