Guess who’s back! It’s Sparks by GloVo people!

Being a volunteers’ platform, GloVo could not miss the opportunity of celebrating the International Volunteer Day that takes place on the 5th of December. Even more, on the 3rd of December, the world celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The result?

3 days of fun, educating actions, workshops and talks, all aiming to raise awareness and make a difference to both volunteers and participating organizations!

Wanna have a taste of what happened last year?

Last year, Sparks hosted over 200 volunteers, 12 volunteer actions, and 6 workshops & talks,

including:

  • Wall painting at the SOS villages
  • Garbage collection from the beaches of Faliron
  • Social cooking and street working- meaning meals preparation and distribution all over Athens to the homeless and people in need
  • Disability awareness, through an interactive simulation of losing one of our senses
  • Eyecycle – ride of tandem bicycles with our eyes tied
  • Subtitling a classic Greek movie
  • Seminars on the Greek sign language and body language
  • The well established by now, flash mob at Monastiraki square

and many more!

This year, we are aiming to further raise the bar, and we are looking for creative people that will help us give our volunteers an even greater experience! Do you think you have what it takes to join our team?

You may apply here until Friday, the 11th of September, at 23.59!
